Updates

Hello quiet TNG world. For all the organizers of TNG, I apologize for the long absence of events. A few of us are meeting tomorrow to discuss the organization (less business-like, more casual), how often we really need meetings (not every month, maybe every 3?), and what to do for the next social thing. If you’d like to throw in your opinion, we’d love to hear it; as always, this is a group intended to be fun and open for everyone. Which also means that those of us in these roles of organizing are just trying to throw in some extra time when we can to put stuff together for you all. I know that my own life has been really crazy for a few months, so I have been completely absent from everything. I hope we can get together soon and have some fun! Let us know what you think!

Saturday Dec. 5th- Food and Go Carts!

Hey everyone! So, things have gotten busy as the crazy holiday times near. We would still like to get together with everyone and invite new people to come out and socialize. Meetings every month seem to be more than necessary, so this time we will just be getting some food together and then going to ride go carts!

We will be meeting at the PF Chang’s in Winter Park off Mills Ave. at 5:30 tomorrow (Saturday Dec. 5) and then driving up the street into Maitland to Lil 500 for some fast track racing action. Afterward, meet us out at the new Woodshed location for some playtime.

Next Week! There will be a play party coming up in Gainesville on December 12th at our fellow TNG’ers house. Mark your calendars: more details to come! Plus, Jsin has some exciting things planned for January!

October Play Party

First, thanks to the 9 folk who showed up to see Zombieland with us. It was amazing!
This October we thought we’d get together with some friends that have a great play space already in their house. They happen to be in Gainesville, but it isn’t a bad drive there and most of us can carpool. It will be Saturday October 24th starting around 9pm. From the host: “I’m open to whatever people feel comfortable with and will probably set up different rooms with varying degrees of privacy and toys. I was also thinking of doing some fun activities, I have some ideas for a ‘trick or treat’ game for subs. I’m open to any and all input.”

Zombieland this Saturday October 3rd!

Zombieland is playing at Winter Park Village at 3:25 on Saturday October 3rd. We will meet by the snack bar inside at 3:15. Please let me know if you are coming, so I can keep an eye out for you. This is taking the place of the monthly meeting. Thanks and I look forward to seeing you all!

Election Re-do

Announcement: Due to significant problems that members had receiving notifications regarding the previous elections for the Board of Orlando TNG, we are re-doing the elections. This is to allow members who were eligible (meaning they were officially members by August 1, 2009) but did not know about the elections to run. So, to be eligible to run for this round of elections you must have been a member by August 1, 2009. (You can also find this information on the Membership and OTNG Board Page of the website.)

If you are interested in running for the 5 SPOTS on the Board of Orlando TNG:

1. Read the Bylaws of OTNG (see http://misshalloween13.wordpress.com/membership-and-forum/ ) and see what the job responsibilities are. Remember you are not running for a specific job – just the board.

2. Post a comment on the Membership and OTNG Board page of the website by 11:59 pm on Saturday September 12, 2009 announcing your intent to run. When posting the comment make sure we know who you are. This means both providing information that remains private that the moderator can use to recognize you but also providing a name or description in your post so people know who you are.

3. MEMBERS – between Monday September 14, 2009 and 11:59 pm Saturday September 19, 2009 you need to post a comment on the Membership and OTNG Board page of the website with the 5 names of the people you want on the Board of OTNG. Remember all comments require moderator approval (and comments with peoples votes will not be approved for public viewing.) However, you still need to provide your name and email address so the moderator can confirm who you are and that you are a member.

The reason we are doing all of the election on the webpage is because we are trying to avoid the email issues that plagued the last election. We are making sure we advertise on all of our locations and send emails from multiple sources. However, we ask that you too spread the word amongst the members to ensure that everyone knows about it. Hopefully, we will be confident shortly that our email issues have been solved.

September Meeting 5th at 4:30

ok- so, it is set! 4:30 at Stardust (not starbucks) in Winter Park on the 5th. The address and number there is 1842 E. Winter Park Road Orlando, FL 32803–(407) 623-3393. Please help spread the word that we will have a meeting. After the meeting, we usually go to Mellow Mushroom off Aloma (near Whole Foods) and eat more. Most of us usually divert to the Shed that night as well. New-comers and members welcome. Free and open to anyone 35 and under (or attached to someone 35 and under). We’ll be talking about our future toy building day, elections, and planning our next play party.

Pool party canceled

Due to a change in the homeowner’s schedule, we will not be able to have the pool party this Saturday. Many of us will be at Portal Friday at 7pm, the munch Saturday at 1:30 pm, and then munch class at the Shed at 6pm. This is from Cecil:
This is a class that I have personally wanted to see for a LONG time. Darcy has finally been able to get all the schedules to work and has made it happen. She’s awesome!!!

This is a chance for all of us to get a glimpse of where we come from. Many many of you have asked me about the Old Guard. I am not Old Guard and am really unqualified to answer many of your questions. The men that are putting on this class are Guard and I learn from them EVERY time I speak to either of them.

This is a TREMENDOUS opportunity for all of us to learn who we are and where we came from as kinky people. I cannot express enough how important I think this class is to ALL kinky people especially those that are in the BDSM lifestyle regardless of how you identify in our lifestyle.

Please join us for this class as the education that will be put forward is very difficult to come by and, in my opinion, very necessary for you to help identify who you are in kink.

Fetish Con, Pool Party, and More!

Greetings all! How many people are going to be coming out to fet-con? Do we want to try and connect up there? The two parties Friday and Saturday are events we will be co-promoting. August 22nd will be our pool party at Bobby-Jo’s house. Please rsvp to get the address. We also planned to vote that day, but we only got five people running for five place, so if people are ok with it, we’ll just officiate them in that day.

Our t-shirt entries are on the website as well. We’ll extend the deadline to get more people to send stuff in. So, new deadline is September 1st. Go vote if you like one of the ones there. I will be posting entries I get to the page there.

Building day plans? Anyone find anything they want to build? I know one of our members made a design for a spanking bench for us to share. I spoke to someone else about a collapsible cross. Let’s aim for mid to late September for this.

As you may have noticed, we aren’t having a play party this month because of all the other craziness going on. I promise we’ll do one again soon! Our next meeting is September 5th at 4:30.

Sushi Social this Saturday!

Due to the overwhelming response to having more social events, this month’s meeting will be a sushi social event. Address is on the events page. As always, play at the shed to follow.

August 1st Monthly Meeting- Replaced by Sushi Social! Meet at Bikkuri Sushi at 5pm-8pm this coming Saturday! I am booking the lounge room, so we should have some privacy together to talk without being worried. This is a public social event, so dress appropriately. www.bikkurisushi.com.

Also, Board Elections will be coming up. All positions are up for election. See the membership page for more details. Please post  your statements of intent and what position you are running for by August 1st.

T-shirt Contest, Play Coordinator, and more!

Greetings all- Our meeting went really well yesterday. We had a few new faces and lots of familiar ones. We discussed membership and the upcoming board election. You must be a member by August 1st to run for a position. August 1st is our monthly meeting at Stardust Coffee at our regular time of 4:30pm. There are 5 positions. All positions are open for any member to run; all you have to do is post on the board page your reason for wanting to run. We will vote August 22nd after Fetish Con.

Bobby Jo has kindly offered to allow us into her beautiful home again for another pool party August 22nd. Between then and now, we have Transformation on July 19th, SkinTwo Party on July 25th, and two official after parties for Fetish Con August 14th and 15th. Vending positions/table volunteers are still open for the SkinTwo Party and Fetish Con parties. If you want to be part of a planned scene at Transformation, please let us know! We will have scenes going on all night and we need volunteers to play! If you know of any over 35 people that we should invite, please let us know as well.

We talked about play party etiquette and what we want to have allowed at parties. No drugs of any kind are allowed. We do allow alcohol in moderation, but expect individuals to be responsible and considerate when drinking and playing. Anyone unruly or intoxicated will be ask to leave. We will have parties at the Woodshed that do not allow alcohol for a balance. We plan on having social only parties, so that play parties can keep the right mood and focus. At all future play parties we will have a play coordinator to set up potential partners, to help interested people find someone who does special activities, to ensure spaces are setup and ready for planned scenes, and to keep play running all night long. We also will be starting to use some kind of mark/bracelet/something to identify if people are interested in play/not interested- top/bottom/Dom/sub/switch- bi/straight/gay- and more variations. We decided we wanted to have a day of building play furniture. Before we make anything, we have to find plans, get costs, and then decide on a date. We will also have a fundraiser event for getting play furniture. We discussed future events like halloween party  and kinky gift exchange as well.
